Management Accounts
When you run a business you often don't get the time to prepare and more importantly review your accounts. At Gordon Ferguson we always promote to our clients to prepare monthly or quarterly accounts as how can you make strategic business decisions without them. We can prepare the management accounts if you do not have the internal resources to prepare them. However more importantly we will sit down and discuss them with you. This will highlight variances quarter on quarter, strengths and more importantly weaknesses in your business, funding and working capital issues, areas of cost cutting, promoting and marketing, tax planning and all areas of your business.
Management accounts can also be requested by your bank, shareholders or invoice finance providers but we would always suggest that first and foremost they are used to grow and develop your business.
Annual Accounts (IXBRL Format)
Your year end accounts must be completed in order to comply with your statutory obligations for both HM Revenue and Customs and Companies House. At Gordon Ferguson we will contact you within one month of your financial year end to make arrangements to collect or for you to drop off your books and records. Once we have received all your business records: bank statements, sales invoices, purchase invoices, sage backup (if applicable), copy VAT Returns, wage records, hire purchase agreements, we will have a draft set of accounts ready to discuss within 30 days. We will then arrange to meet up either at our offices or at your premises. Once we have agreed on any final changes we will post you the accounts for signing within 7 days. A meeting to sign the accounts off can also be arranged. Once the accounts have been returned to us we will submit to Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs or we can sit on them to nearer the deadlines. We guarantee no HMRC or Companies House penalties provided you supply us with the books and records.
We prepare year end accounts in the required IXBRL format for Limited Companies (LTD), Partnerships, Sole Traders and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP). We also have clients in a wide range of sectors from Recruitment Agencies, Engineering Companies, IT Support, Plant Hire and Road Haulage to Property Developers.
