One of our clients, a high growth technology business, required funding to support the next stage of its rapid growth. We prepared and presented a business plan and financial projections to members of existing and new investment syndicates based in Scotland. We handled all aspects of the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) applications to ensure investors would quality for this generous tax relief. This exercise assisted the company to successfully raise £500,000.

We were asked by the bank to have a look at the financial affairs of a local service company. Following a meeting with the client we advised they had no option but to liquidate their company. The directors had been under severe pressure from creditors for the past 6 months and after the initial shock of hearing our advice they realised it was the only solution. The directors have now had a new lease of life and have started a fresh company with a structured model. We also managed to secure an invoice factoring facility which will provide the company with working capital to trade going forward.
We were approached by a local printing company who were looking to grow their business. After an initial consultation we recommended that most of their expenditure would qualify for grant assistance from North Lanarkshire Council. Following a successful application the company received a £10,000 grant towards capital expenditure and property improvements.
We have recently confirmed significant grant funding towards a planning exercise for a business who has secured a large US contract. Scottish Enterprise have agreed to support the strategic planning and forecasting as well as assisting on the ground in the USA on issues such as location of premises and hiring of appropriate staff.
